Q: What are some tips for photo day?

Here are some tips:
Hair - Girls - On windy days, consider putting your daughter's hair in a ponytail or headband. Please remember that special hairstyles are difficult to maintain throughout the day and may not look the same prior to their photo being taken. Boys: Please discourage your son from wearing a hat to school on photo day. Bed heads and hat heads don't make for good photos. A haircut scheduled 2 weeks prior to photo day will ensure your son's hair is neat and out of his eyes.
Clothing - Select clothing that will complement your child's eyes and hair. Solids and simple patterns photograph well. Please avoid graphics and or logos across the front of shirts or dresses.
Glasses - Most of the time, we will take photos of your child both with and without glasses. We understand that asking a child to remove their glasses is a sensitive subject. If your child has a preference for their photos, please ask them to inform the photographer. For outdoor photos, we will encourage your child to remove their glasses with light sensitive lenses so that we can see your child's eyes. If your child has transitional lenses please know that we are doing photos outside and the lenses will turn dark. Please send a pair of glasses that will not transition if possible.
Parent Volunteers - We often solicit the help of parent volunteers on photo day to facilitate your child's photo shoot. Please remember, these are volunteers only. If you have any particular concerns, we encourage you to send a note with your child for the photographer/volunteer. They will do their best to accommodate your request for your child's photos.

Q: How do I place an order?
A:
- Go to our website: www.iclicksmiles.com
- Click the button at the top of the page titled "Click Here to Order"
- Enter your 8 digital Online Code, Click Enter
- Enter your alphanumeric case sensitive password, Click Enter
- Read the welcome note, click ok
- Review your photos, to view them larger click on the Thumbnail size in the upper right of the screen and select your size. To view them at their largest size click on an image.
- To select favorites for easy selection in the products page click the heart at the top right of an image
- Once you have the image numbers you'd like to order, click the GREEN "Buy Now" button in the lower right of your screen.
- Click the button next to the package titled "Select Package"
- If you have selected favorites the system will automatically show you those images to choose from.
- If not, scroll through your list of images and click on the image you would like for the package or item you have selected.
- If you have selected the All digital download for your option click any image to load all individual images to the item.
- Make any cropping or editing options to your item you would like. (Please see below for more detailed instructions.)
- Click GREEN "Add to Cart" button in lower right of screen
- Repeat for all items you would like to purchase.
- When ready to complete your order Click the Cart button in the upper right of your screen
- REVIEW your order before entering your billing information. Our system is completely automated and does not allow for changes once an order has been placed.
- Click the GREEN "Checkout" button in the lower right of your screen
- Follow the prompts and fill out your billing information.
- Your order is not complete until you click the Last Submit button and you see an option to print your order with your order number for reference.
Q: Can I place a single order from multiple gallery codes?
A:
Yes, you are able to place a single order for all of your children to save on additional shipping costs. Please follow these steps:
- Log into one of your children's photo galleries.
- Click the image you would like to order and click on "Buy Now."
- Select the item(s) you would like to order. (This order should now be in your Cart)
- Click on the Change Gallery link located on the top center of the page, next to your school's gallery name
- Follow the process above (steps 1-4) and add items to your shopping cart for your second child. Please be sure to use the same email address when prompted for your additional child(ren) as our orders are linked by email addresses.
- Repeat steps for any additional children.
- Complete your order.
Our ordering system is automated. Once an order is placed, we are unable to make changes to your order including combining separate orders to ship together. Separate shipping charges will apply for each order that is placed. If you have any questions regarding placing your order, Click Here, prior to placing your order. Q: Can I customize my photo?
A:
Yes you can! Select the photo package you would like to order then select the photo image you would like to order. Your image will appear large on our screen. On the upper right corner, next to your image, click on the "Crop Image" link. Here you will have the ability to customize your photo by choosing several options.
Once you select the crop link, an "Image Editor" screen will appear. You will have the ability to customize your photo by choosing several options:
- B&W: Click on this if you desire a black and white image instead of color.
- Sepia: Click on this if you desire a sepia image instead of color.
- Original: Click on this if you desire to switch back to the original image if you have chosen either B&W or Sepia.
- Rotate: Click on this if you would like to switch your image from horizontal to a vertical image or vise versa.
- Reset: Click on this if you would like to switch your image to its original orientation.
- Cropping tool: The cropping option appears as a boxed area in your photo. This area is surrounded by yellow boxes at each corner of your photo. Simply place your cursor on top of your image, a 4-directional arrow will show, and you will be able to move the box up or down to center your image where you would like.
Additionally, if you place your cursor on any of the yellow squares located in the corners, you are able to configure the cropping of your photo. If you crop your photo, please remember to re-center your image.
Once you have completed your crop for your image, click SAVE. Your next screen will appear to provide an opportunity to continue cropping all your photos in your package. Select each item within your package and use the tools to configure each. You will be able to review your cropping preferences as your photos will appear how you cropped them by image size along the left hand side of your screen.

Q: What is the difference between Digital Download Packages? (Please note, some of the digital download packages are available only when a minimum purchase is met. Please see order form for details.)

We offer the following packages:
- Single Image Digital Download is one image only from your child's photo gallery. (Class photos are not available for any digital purchase.)
- Three Image Download allows you to select up to three of your favorite images in your child's photo gallery. (Images cannot include the class photo.)
- All Digital Download is a download containing all of the images in your child's photo gallery. (Images do not include the class photo.)
Resolution sizes of all digital images are 3200 dpi. The file size can be as small as 1MB and still be large enough to print up to a 16 x 24 inch print.

Q: Can I order a digital copy of the class photo?

No, because our class photos contain multiple minors and because we care about the privacy of all the children, we do not offer a digital versions of the class photos.

Q: How do I order the class photo?
A:
To order a class photo click on "Class Photo" link under our Product Category list on our order page. You can select either a 5x7 or 8x10 image size; once the image size is selected, your class image will show on your screen. Click green "Add to Cart" button on the lower right hand corner of the order page to add your class photo to your order.

Q: Why are class photos not included in the various photo packages?
A:
Class photos are not included in each package because we provide our customers the option to select the quantity of prints and different size options of the class photo. We also find that many of our customers order multiple packages and including a class photo for each package would be redundant. We also see that not everyone wants a class photo to be included in their package and they prefer the option of ordering the photo if they want it. One thing to note is that other companies never give you the class photo for free. It's in the package but they are still charging for that photo in their package pricing.

Q: When I am placing my order and choosing packages, why are some of the products grayed out?

Q: What does it mean when I get a "Price sheet rules have not been met" error or when I cannot complete my order?

This error occurs when you delete a package from your order but still have a bonus item in your cart. Please make sure you do not delete a regularly priced item after you have selected a bonus item.

- 1. The first option is for us to print thumbnails of your child's images at no cost and mail them to you. (This option is not available on photographic paper.)

Q: When is the Makeup picture day scheduled?
A:
- Makeup photos are taken for Elementary and Middle Schools in the Fall only. No makeup photos are taken for our Preschools or for any schools photos taken in the Spring.
- For our Elementary, Middle Schools and High Schools, the makeup day is scheduled 3-4 weeks after the first picture day. We will send out email reminders with information to sign-up for makeup photos.
- For all makeup photos, please be sure to fill out the "Makeup Request Form" on our website. http://www.iclicksmiles.com/makeup-form/makeup_form.html. This form must be filled out prior to your advised deadline date to eligible for makeup photos.

Q: Why are you more expensive than the previous photographers?
A:
Our photo pricing is competitive with many school photographers. Unlike other photography companies, we do not require payment from schools and do not require prepayments for orders. We provide multiple poses to choose from, where you are able to view and select which photo you would like to purchase. Our photographers are all professionals with their own studios. We've had so many great compliments about our photography and we hope you are pleased with your photos and can see the difference in our quality. We feel we are providing you a great value in bringing real professional photography services to your school while keeping our pricing very competitive in the school photo industry.

Q: Why can't I login to view my photos?

- Please check and make sure the online code and gallery password are entered correctly. The Gallery Password is case sensitive with no spaces.
- Check that your web browser is up to date. We recommend Firefox Mozilla (Macs and PC's) and Safari (Macs). To download the latest version of Firefox, please go to: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/upgrade.html
- 3. If you are on a work computer you may not be able to login due to high firewall settings used by many companies. You may try working from your home computer.
- Clear your web browser's cookies and caches. See steps below:
- For Internet Explorer: Click on TOOLS then choose Delete Browsing History. Then click on Cookies and hit DELETE.
- For Firefox: Click on OPEN MENU choose HISTORY, click on CLEAR RECENT HISTORY, check COOKIES AND CACHE boxes, click CLEAR NOW and YES to confirm.

Q: Why are our photos/prints not cut when we received them?
A:
Our packages and single items are printed in a sheet format to keep costs down. We understand that this can be difficult for some of our customers who worry about miss-cutting their prints. If you would like us to cut your prints for you please review the options listed below:
- Contact us to place your order. When you place your order please request the photos be cut before they are sent or before you pick them up.
- If you have already ordered the photos online you can send them back to be cut or make an appointment to come in and we can cut them for you. Our main office is located in Belmont, CA
- You can take them to a "print center" such as Kinko's, Staples or Office Depot and they should be able to cut them at no cost for you.

Q: Why is there a deadline/price expiration after the initial three weeks?
A:
Because we are a small photography company and do not require payment before you see your photos, we post the photo galleries online at a discounted rate for three weeks. When orders are placed within this discounted period we are able to pass on savings we receive for bulk order processing when orders are processed through our lab.

Q: What is your Return/Exchange Policy?
A:
We wish for you to be completely satisfied with your order. Please read below for the many options we offer to meet your satisfaction.
- We are happy to re-print your photos to meet your satisfaction. Please reply to your order confirmation email with the image number and size that you would like re-printed with any notes about what you would like to be corrected with the print(s) you received. We will reprint and send the corrections to you at no cost.
- If a return is required, simply mail the product along with a copy of your receipt with comments indicating the reason for the return, within 30 days for a full refund.
- We are unable to accept returns on any Digital orders but will offer a free replacement in the event of an error, a missing download link, corrupted files, or a damaged disc.

Q: Can I purchase school photos from past seasons?

For photos taken prior to 2013, we will charge a $25 Archival Fee so that the photos can be reloaded into the gallery. For photos taken in 2013 and beyond, we are able to re-open your gallery so that photos can be purchased online.

Q: Can you take group/sibling photos of my children?
A:
When we take school photos, we only take individual photos of each child. We can however, arrange a family portrait sitting for a group photo of your children and/or the entire family. Our parent company, Vince Tarry Studios offers special pricing for our iClickSmiles families. This offer includes a discounted sitting fee of $125 (a savings of $150) plus additional 10% off your entire initial order when orders are placed in our studio.
